Family

Families and children are welcomed and loved at WWC.

We want to support our children and young people to develop a strong faith that will sustain them into adulthood. We know that the world places a lot of stresses on many children and young people and we want them to know the love of Jesus to help them through the difficulties.

Supporting Parents

We also want to support parents because we know that parenting can be tough, so we want to help you to find ways to grow your own faith and encourage and nurture the faith of your children.

Safe Space

We offer a children’s space during all our services where DBS-checked volunteers can engage children of all ages in bible based activities. There is always lots of fun to be had. Our children’s ministry is fairly small at the moment but growing rapidly and we welcome new families.

Noah’s Ark

On Thursday Mornings volunteers from WWC run, free of charge, Noah’s Ark for mums, toddlers and pre-school children, creating a safe and fun space for activities, snacks and stories.

Cafe on the Way

On Friday afternoons we run Cafe on the Way for young people, mostly from the local secondary school. WWC employs a youth worker to run this session and there are numerous electronic games, indoor sports games and board games. In the summer, games are played on the grass space opposite the church. The kitchen is always busy offering hot chocolate, toast and toppings, squash and biscuits.

Pebblestones

WWC hosts Pebblestones which provides free support for 6 to 12 year olds with dyslexia or other difficulties in school. Volunteers, drawn from the church members, help the children with literacy and numeracy and develop their confidence.
